About Alice’s career in Television, Theatre, Film & Voice-Over
Alice Sykes began her acting career in the critically acclaimed BBC Crime Drama Criminal Justice alongside Maxine Peake in 2009. She also played ‘Sharon Baker’, the guest lead alongside Peter Kay in the BBC Two’s comedy series Cradle to Grave. Further appearances include, Lindsay Baxter in Sky One’s Mad Dogs, Sorcha Carmichael in ITV’s Vera, Rosie Harris in Midsomer Murders, Lisa in Press, Caitlin Laidlaw in Holby City, Alice in CBBC’s Postcode, Tess Hughes in the critically acclaimed Silent Witness, and as a guest lead Amber Kensit in Casualty on BBC One.
Most recently, you will have seen her in the recurring role of Claire in the hit ITV drama Unforgotten, and in 2023 as the guest lead, Lorna Pryce in Call The Midwife.
Alice’s theatre work began in Mark Haddon’s Polar Bears at ‘The Donmar Warehouse’. Then followed her taking the lead role of ‘Daisy’ in Melanie Spencer’s Responsible Other at ‘Hampstead Theatre’. After this performance, Alice then went onto play Samantha in ‘Alan Ayckbourn’s’ A Small Family Business at that most prestigious of venues, ‘The National Theatre’. In January 2019, Alice played the lead role of Cynthia, in In Lipstick at ‘The Pleasance Theatre, Islington’.
Starring alongside Greg Wise in ‘Scoop Films’ feature film, Alice plays Kath in After Louise. Sykes also played the title role in the highly acclaimed BBC Short film Flea.
Alice now has an extensive voice reel after working with clients such as BBC, Apple, Etsy, BBH, NSPCC and has become a regular contributor to voicing Sky Sports.
